Gradual Transition System from Virtual to Physical World for a Safe User Journey

This project addresses potential tech and VR-induced health conditions arising from current virtual reality experiences. It aims to raise awareness and invites industrial designers to explore the transition between the physical and virtual worlds, ensuring a safer, more comfortable user journey.

︎Impact:
Intensive exposure to VR can make people feel estranged from their body and physics.

︎Problem :
Absence of guide for user how to adjust themselves to the gap between different realities.

︎ Framing:
Decompression between reality and virtual reality

︎ Inspiration from Scuba Diver’s ascending process:

How might we design a transitional system that helps people adjust themselves to the physical world from the virtual world?

︎
  1. Rainforce the sence of existence
  2. Empower user to design their disconnect journey
  3. Transition than shift

︎
  1. Awake senses with grounding techniques
  2. Personalized interface
  3. Gradual fade away of digital layers
