Task from Hankuk Carbon: Discover new opportunity area of carbon pattern design The prompt from the industry was to find a new opportunity area with a proposal of carbon weaving pattern design and product design for the pattern.
The task of this project was to discover new opportunity areas of carbon pattern design and propose new pattern designs and product designs for patterns.
Target area: Art furniture, fashion
‘Second skin’ reflects the ‘Animal print’ and ‘Alternative animal skin’ fashion trends from S/S 2017.
Alternative material does not have to be a realistic imitation of real material always. When it comes to animal skin in fashion and art furniture area, carbon reinterprets the aesthetics of real animal skin and far exceeds its functionality.
